Endings-Mindful Monday

Mindful Monday banner

As we end our Mindful Monday Series, I want to reflect on the reason we began. In March, our world was changed. We faced fear, confusion, rage, anger, and uncertainty as we held our breath for what was to come. How would we adjust? We watched our world as we knew it slip through our grasp like tiny grains of sand. Our past losses and emotional experiences were amplified and brought to the forefront. At the same time, we held tightly to safety and clung to security not only as individuals but also for families, the community, and the world. It was like our life depended on it- because it did and still does. Our mission with Mindful Monday was to provide our community with grief resources, encourage you to feel,  lend a supportive hand, and most importantly offer hope. The hope that with mindful action there can be healing. The hope that you become the expert of your grief. The hope that even in tragedy, you can carry grief in your heart and begin again, as many times as you need. We are going to leave you with our final mindful exercise, a loving-kindness meditation.

May you be happy.

May you be safe.

May you be healthy.

May you be peaceful and at ease.

This is our wish for you today and always. This is where you can begin.
