I knew Karen from going to Sacred Heart Church with my children, Rob & Angel while going through a separation. She was a good person, very caring and very helpful to me and my two kids. I saw her a couple times over the years and I am very sorry to hear of her passing. Rest in Peace Karen🙏🏼🙏🏼

Karen was a wonderful advocate for the women of Waterfront South. She was part of the Food Sharing Program of Sacred Heart Church for years, the Joe’s Place Dinners, Morning Prayer at 418 where she with other woman lived to be part of the “Ministry of Just Being There.” It was Karen who created the Mothers’ Day Prayer Breakfast, the Saturday before Mothers’ Day, which was done for over 15 years. She befriended many of the women of the neighborhood of Sacred Heart Church. Needless to say, she loved Fr. Michael Doyle as a parishioner and a friend. She travelled to Austria with Austrian born artist, Othman Carli, Michael Doyle, Bob Genovese, Susan Cedrone and Maria Merlin. Those were the days my friend, we thought they never end! Love,
Susan Cedrone
