Runnemede - Edna Karen Perona (nee Carbone) "Karen"

I'm sincerely heartbroken to announce the death of my Mother, she passed away peacefully on April 8, 2024, at age 77, surrounded by her family after a long battle with Cancer. Karen is survived by her loving and devoted daughter Donna, and her Grandchildren Justin (Seqouia) Perona, Maria Perona-Marchetty. Karen was the daughter of Edna Hurley and Anthony Carbone. Sister to the late Anthony Carbone Jr., Veronica Carbone, Linda (Charlie) Riess. Aunt to the late Jerry Murphy and Great Aunt to Kyle Murphy and Marisa Murphy of Middleburg, FL. Karen was born in Philadelphia PA, spent most of her life in South Jersey and made her home in Runnemede these past 28 years. She spent her Professional life in Atlantic City, started out as a Reservation Agent then Group Coordinator/Lead Agent at Trump Plaza. Then Karen later retired from The Atlantic City Convention & Visitor Authority. Karen enjoyed meeting new people and she was proud of the work she did. After Karen retired, she worked part time as a crossing guard in Haddonfield New Jersey, where she was honored by their police department for her dedicated service to the community. Karen was simply the best. She was devoted to her family, loyal and everyone's best friend. She was deeply caring supportive of those around her and Karen was famous for making the most delicious meatballs. A celebration of life will be held at a later date
