Thelma "Teena" C. Cortese (nee Smith), on April 8, 2024, of South Jersey. Age 91. Beloved wife of the late Charles Cortese. Loving mother of Anthony M. Cortese (Joann), Albert Cortese (MiHwa) , Charles "Leo" Cortese (Shirley), Sandra Cortese, and the late Barbara "Cynthia" Cortese. Devoted Grandmother of Kristin, Susan, Albert, Teena, Vince, Matt, Charles, Jessie, and the late Brian and Angel. Caring Great-Grandmother of 13. Dear sister of Rhenae.
Teena loved her longtime job as a waitress at the Melrose Diner in Philadelphia enjoyed camping trips with her family. She enjoyed playing bingo and reading, and could often be found enjoying a cold beer. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
There will be a viewing on Friday, at GARDNER FUNERAL HOME- RUNNEMEDE from 9:30-11:30am. Funeral Service to follow at 11:30am at the Funeral Home. Interment Hillcrest Memorial Park, 500 Delsea Dr, Sewell, NJ, 08080.
