Joe and I met when he started dating Shirley, who he met on a cruise , I married Shirley's best friend Clara and the four of us would get together on a regular basis . My son Jason was being born at the same time Joe and Shirly were birthing their daughter . The first time I met Joe and Shirley I was 16 and going to the prom with Rick. He said I want to take you to my sisters house. We walked in I was so nervous, I wasn’t in the for 2 minutes Shirley was hugging me Joe was saying make yourself at home and Janine was dancing!! That was the beginning of a 52 year relationship . There wasn’t a time in our lives that Joe and Shirley weren’t there for us. From our 1st date , having Danielle and Ricky, and everything in between. We always sat ate drank laughed and at the end of the night said I love you. So many memories! Thank you Joe and Shirley for loving Rick, me, Danielle, Ricky and our grandsons. Our hearts are broken ,we lost our Joe but he will always be in our heart forever. 🙏🏻❤️

Uncle Joe would always want to hear everything that was going on in our lives. When we would stop he would smile real big after a good hug and say “what’s new” if I said nothing he would say”nothing” and his smile would get bigger. He would then bring up something we talked about the last visit(sometimes the visit span was long but he never forgot) I loved those talks and listening his advice. My boys loved all the stories too.We would leave and they would say he’s pretty cool. Those visits will live on with me forever. Uncle Joe you will forever be the tear in my eye when I hear a saxophone 🎷

Uncle Joey, what can I say other than I must be the luckiest person in the universe to not only have the father I had but to have a "Daddy 2" like you. The times we shared and the memories that i have are branded on my heart and will never fade. Aunt Shirley, the most amazing woman I know, my beautiful cousins Janine and Jennifer, who are more like my sisters, you were all my Uncle's Whole World. Lex, you were the icing on the cake and to all my cousins you are his legacy. God is good for the gifts He gave us. We are a very lucky family. Rest In Peace my Uncle, until we meet again.
