Dolores J. Alba (nee Anderson), on February 5, 2024, of Westville, formerly of Philadelphia, just shy of her 87th birthday. Beloved wife of the late William T. Alba, Sr. Loving mother of Karen (Ilie Caraus) Alba, William Jr (Tamara), Linda (the late Robert) Walker, and Dolores (Charles Henderson) Meloni. Proud grandmother of Gregory (Amanda), Emilie (Miles), Olivia, James, Jason (Samantha), Nicole (Brandon), Lucas, and Nicholas. Great Grandmother of Alexander, Charleigh, Izabella, and Ashton. Dear sister of Helen Romeo, Carlene Jordan, Carl Anderson, and the late Catherine Stone, Harry Anderson, Albert Anderson, Mary O'Donnell, James Anderson, and Robert Anderson. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Dolores embodied the best of all qualities: she was compassionate, kind, and endlessly generous. She was known for her sense of humor and warm, magnetic personality. Dolores had a unique ability to find a party in any situation. She was an avid reader who also enjoyed music and travel, especially spending time on the beach in Florida with her sisters. She spent many years working at John Wanamaker's Crystal Tea Room where she proudly moved from waitress to banquet manager. She lived a life filled with fun, love, and kindness, and will live on in the hearts of all who were lucky to know her.
There will be a viewing on Friday, February 9 from 10am-12pm at GARDNER FUNERAL HOME, RUNNEMEDE. Funeral service to follow at 12pm at the funeral home. Interment, New Saint Mary's Cemetery, Bellmawr.
