It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Thomas F. Sullivan. Thomas passed away peacefully at home at the age of 87 on Saturday, February 3rd, 2024. He leaves behind his wife Kathleen Sullivan (née Devlin), his two children, Thomas Sullivan, and Colleen Sullivan (Mark Kolasa), as well as two grandchildren, Alyssa and Joshua.

Thomas was born to the late Thomas F. Sullivan and the late Ann Sullivan (nee Coll) in Camden, New Jersey, where he lived with his siblings, the late Kathleen Sullivan (Sr. Ann Thomas), and the late Frances J. Sullivan. Following his father's death, at age 15, Thomas and his family relocated to Pennsauken, New Jersey. He graduated from St. Joseph's High School in Camden and shortly after began his career as an electrician working for Star Electric in Collingswood, New Jersey. In the early 70's he began his own electric company, Sullivan Electric, that is still thriving today. Thomas met his wife Kathleen by chance at his home in Pennsauken when she was stopping by to visit his sister, Francis. The two have been inseparable since and have been happily married for 58 years. Thomas and Kathleen moved together to Collingswood after they got married, then back to Pennsauken to start their growing family.
To know Thomas was to love him. Thomas loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He enjoyed traveling with his sisters to destinations such as Ireland and Alaska, among others. He loved waking up and going to work every day, tackling whatever challenge the workday brought him. Thomas was the most generous and caring husband, father, and grandfather anyone could ask for. He was constantly reminding his family how much they were loved and appreciated by him. The love Thomas shared with his family and everyone he crossed paths with will continue to flourish in his memory. He will be deeply missed by all of those around him.

There will be a Visitation from 9am-11am on Thursday, February 8th, at GARDNER FUNERAL HOME, Runnemede. Followed by a Memorial Service at the funeral home.

Tom Sullivan was like the John Wayne of the Electrical world to so many of us young men. He had a silent kindness to him like my own Father Joseph has. He was kind to employees, customers, vendors and all those he came in contact with. With this kindness there was also a strength. He new how to handle, encourage and motivate us all. Thanks to him I was influenced to go into buisiness myself. R.I.P. & God Bless Tom, I know your looking down from above. It was a pleasure to have worked for you and know you also. Say hello to my Mom for me, I'm sure She's up there with you.

Truly a great loss. Tom was more than a former employer to me...I considered him a friend.
Anyone who ever met him felt at ease with him and his soft spoken ways. Many times I saw instances where any other employer would have exploded, but not Tom ...he stuck to a single vision of getting the task completed to the best of his ability regardless of cost to himself or his company. This world has lost a one in a million GENTLEMAN..
