John M. Steel, of Audubon, passed away on January 14, 2024. He was 92 years old. Beloved husband of Jane Steel (nee Twasta) for 72 years. Devoted father of David (husband Hector) and Jack (wife Joy). Loving grandfather and great grandfather. John served in the Air Force for 4 years and worked for 35 years at Phila. Gas Works. He was an avid sportsman, and loved judo, karate and kayaking. Later in life he taught roller blading and was a member of the Fall Line Ski Club.
There will be a visitation Tuesday January 23, 2024 from 10am to 12pm at GARDNER FUNERAL HOME, RUNNEMEDE. Interment private at request of family.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in John's memory to the charity of your choice.

I am so very saddened to learn of John’s passing. My heartfelt condolences go out to Jane and the family. I met John in the ski club and I along with many others spent wonderful times rollerblading, hiking, skiing and enjoying these shared passions. John was a wonderful gentleman and I will celebrate his life as I continue to remember our many adventures and continue to follow the lifestyle that he inspired. Rest in peace and smile down upon those of us who were fortunate to call you friend.
We are so very sorry for your loss Jane. Our thoughts and prayers are with you , your sons and their families. John was so very special to us, he introduced us more than twenty years ago.
