Nancy Eagan Sedin of Bellmawr, formerly of Runnemede, passed on January 12, 2024 at the age of 69.

Loving wife of Tyrone H. Sedin. Devoted mother of Eric Sedin and Sara Sedin-Blicharz (Michael). Beloved sister of Edward (Lenee), Patricia (Timothy), and Theresa (William). Also survived by a host of nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents John E. Eagan, Jr. and Martha Lea Eagan (nee Humphreys).

Nancy had dreams of becoming a nurse, but life had a different calling for her when her children were born. She became a fierce advocate for her son and daughter throughout her life. She was happiest when she was able to care for them and her beloved husband; making sure they were looked after and loved each day. She was an avid reader of many things - especially historical mystery and sci-fi/fantasy books. She loved to solve puzzles and broaden her mind. Whether it was doing a crossword or sudoku puzzle, or watching Jeopardy with her family at dinner, Nancy was always looking for a new way to challenge herself and learn something new each day. She was very intelligent and had a thoughtful and sweet demeanor. Nancy will forever be missed, but never forgotten by all those who loved her.

There will be a viewing from 10:00am until 11:30am on Thursday, January 18 at GARDNER FUNERAL HOME, RUNNEMEDE. Memorial Service 11:30am at the funeral home. Interment at Woodbury Memorial Park, 879 Kings Hwy, West Deptford, NJ 08096.

In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to be given to Autism Speaks in Princeton, NJ. Attn: Web Gifts - 1060 State Road, 2nd Floor, Princeton, NJ 08540; www.autismspeaks.org 888-288-4762

E Edward Eagan on Jan 22, 2024

Nancy was my older sister, and until now I have never known a life without her in it. So let me take a moment to tell you what I remember.

Growing up she loved playing in the Runnemede softball league. And her team the “Kittens” weren't anything but. With her as the pitcher they won the league championship.

She had a witty sense of humor. Every time she saw me, she’d figuratively pat me on my head and sheepishly say “My little brother.”

Both Nancy and Ty loved boating and going to bottle conventions. So, imagine this, two boaters who didn’t drink, but enjoyed collecting decorative bottles of Bourbon. Go figure.

My sister studied nursing and was a true caregiver at heart. When our mother was ill and spent nine months in the hospital recovering, it was Nancy who took care of us all. And separately, when Ty’s parents became ill, she helped care for both of them.

But her crowning achievement, was how she raised Eric and Sarah. She was kind and loving but a fierce advocate as well. A better mom you could not ask for.

Eric and Sara, you should be very proud her and yourselves. For you are her legacy!

Again, Nancy was my older sister, and when I came into this world, she was here to welcome me. But now she is going ahead, and when it my turn to be called home, she will once again be there to welcome me.

With all my Love,
Your “Little” Brother,

Ed

I was in total shock to hear of Nancy's passing. My heart is breaking for each of you, especially Ty, Eric, and Sara. My prayers are for your peace.

I truly believe those who have left us are on a beautiful journey and they are in the arms of our Lord ✨

Please accept my sincere condolences💖

To celebrate Aunt Nancy is to celebrate her family. She was devoted to her husband and children and enjoyed life with the people who mattered to her. It’s sad to see such a lovely person pass. That said I hope we remember her for her kindness, intelligence and love for life. I hope the family gets to share the happy memories of her and her life. We might of lost her in body but she will live on in our hearts and thoughts forever. I will always miss our large family get together a. RIP

Love Nick

I lost track of Nancy after high school. She marched to her own beat and I respected her for that. Rest well Nancy.
