I will miss my friend Josie. I will miss talking to her on the phone… calls were always not more than 10 min but we talked about everything. She would always ask me ..”so, are you a grandmom yet?” And when I finally was she was thrilled…she would talk about my mom, Olga, and say..”I would ask your mom, so what’s new?” And she would say “Nothing” and I would say how about New York, New Jersey….”
And she would laugh and say how much she missed her. I loved going over her house for lunch or if my sister MaryAnne was up from Florida we both would go and bring pizza and show her pictures of the kids!
I’m thankful for the memories Josie gave me and so grateful she was in my life even though it was only for a few years…we always ended our calls with Josie saying “give everyone my love” and I would say “I will Jo, love you.” I am so sorry for your loss♥️
I am so sorry for your loss. I met Josie through my mom,and her friend, Olga. She was a riot. We would visit her at lunchtime and she would make her “famous” zucchini. I loved listening to Josie and mom talk about “the old days”, living in Camden, and how they visited many of the same places. So many wonderful stories. Now they can reminisce again. A lovely lady. Love you, Jo! 🥰💜💜
Aunt Jo was always the life of the party anywhere she went she was fiercely independent and when she said she prayed for me i felt it she will be missed
