Raymond Anthony Widmeier, Jr., age 60, of Woodbury, NJ, suddenly passed away on January 6, 2023.
Beloved son of late Raymond Sr. and Dolores D. Widmeier (nee White). Dear brother of Maureen T. Kempski (Frank), Martin A. Widmeier (Debbie), Dolores E. Otterstein, and Michael F. Widmeier. Loving uncle of Kelli N. Lorenz, Andrew Widmeier, Adam Widmeier, Ryan Widmeier, Lauren Widmeier, Justin Widmeier, and Amanda Otterstein. Nephew of Elaine Mason and Dorothea Vigna. Also survived by many other cousins and friends.
Ray worked at AMC Theaters from 1979 to 2004, was self-employed as a Carpenter/Contractor for several years, and was last employed at Jefferson Hospital in Center City Philadelphia until 2015. Ray will be deeply missed for his extraordinary wit and sense of humor, willingness to help others, but mostly for his loving compassion to his family and friends.
There will be a visitation from 6pm to 8pm on Thursday, January 12, 2023 at GARDNER FUNERAL HOME, RUNNEMEDE.
Memorial service 8pm at funeral home.

Raymond always made me laugh so hard in my youth with a joke or a prank. All of these memories with Raymond and your family bring me such joy. My heart and prayers are with all of you at the loss of your beloved Raymond.

My Uncle Ray was always there for me when I was growing up. My mom and I used to live next door to my aunt Maureen and my cousin Kelli. Uncle Ray would be over our houses all the time to try to scare us when we were coming home from school, to start snowball fights in the winter, to embarass Kelli when she had birthday parties... he was such a big personality. There will certainly be something missing in this world without him around. He brightened up the family and he will be so dearly missed.
I will miss my nutty cousin, Ray. We would often meet up for a meal. After we were seated, the waitress would approach and ask, how are you? In a loud voice Ray would say, CRAZY, thanks, and how are you?! He got his share of laughs and stares. I will miss you more than you know, Ray
