James E. Pinto, 88, of Turnersville, NJ, passed away on November 10, 2022 after a long battle with illness.

James was born on August 7, 1934 to James V. and Minnie Pinto in Hammonton, NJ. After leaving school, Jim went to work in the family produce business, which kickstarted his more than 40-year career as a truck driver for Tartan Foods, Philadelphia, PA.

James was predeceased by his parents, his brothers William and Robert Pinto, his sister Jacqueline A. Sutton (nee Pinto) and her husband James Sutton, grandson Robert Armstrong, and granddaughter Stephanie Schiazza. James is survived by his daughter Rachele Armstrong (nee Pinto) and her husband Tom Armstrong, and James's first wife and mother of his children, Joann Pinto (nee Toal). James is also survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Pinto, his former wife and caretaker, Joan Pinto Balitz (nee Moska) and her children Anthony J. Moska, Joseph R. Kozlowski, Nicole and Joseph Magray. He is the grandfather of Thomas Armstrong Jr., Christine Moska-Wadsworth, Jessica Marie Reichle, Jade Mariah Kozlowski, Madison Anna-Marie Moska, Piper Joelle Moska, Santino Kozlowski, and Joseph Wagner-Kozlowski and great grandfather of Nicholas Ryan Verheyen, Lydia Paige Armstrong, Harper Alise Wadsworth, Lana Reign Kozlowski, Davina Elizabeth Dixon, and Adaleigha Macie-Rae Morgan. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews.

There will be a visitation from 3pm to 4pm on Saturday, November 26, 2022 at GARDNER FUNERAL HOME, RUNNEMEDE.

Memorial service 4pm at the funeral home.

Interment is private at the request of the family.
