Sally S. Oliveri
On July 7, 2022, Sally S. Oliveri (nee Scholl) of Brigantine, previously Oaklyn NJ, passed too soon, at age 80.
She was the beloved wife of the late Carl W. Oliveri, loving sister and best friend of Ruth Scholl. Devoted mother of Leann Walker (Kevin) and Scott (Stacy) Oliveri; loving Grandmother of Cameron, Reagan, Gavin, Daniel, Tayler and the late Alexandra. Loving daughter of the late Harry Scholl and Sarah (nee Peirce). Sally is also survived by dear friends Gerry and Skip Bushby.
She was previously a member of the Oaklyn School Board, President of the Oaklyn PTA, and Oaklyn Baptist Church Secretary. She was a member of the Athene Chapter No. 201 Order of the Eastern Star of New Jersey and an active member of the Brigantine Yacht Club.
Sally's family meant everything to her, she especially loved when everyone was together; when not together, she loved talking on the phone, texting, or Snapping with her Grandkids. It was always important to her to keep in close contact and be engaged in their plans and many adventures. Sally loved her home in Brigantine where she enjoyed sitting on her porch watching the sunset. She also enjoyed traveling, socializing, and playing Mah-Jongg. Sally will be deeply missed by her family and many close friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation Monday, July 18th from 10:00am to 12:00pm at the Logan Memorial Presbyterian Church 18 W Merchant St, Audubon, NJ 08106. The funeral service will be held at the church immediately following the visitation. Interment private at the request of the family. I met Sally 60 years ago, 1962. Sally and Carl were only married 10 months and were so in love when I met them and were great examples for Skip and me. We didn't have a lot in common, except our husbands were best friends. I wanted them to like me because I knew how much it meant to Skip. Well it didn't take long and we were best friends and spent many wonderful years together. Our kids and grandkids were all born close together and consider themselves cousins. As a matter of fact our two youngest grandchildren were born on each other's birthdays. We'd celebrate all birthdays and anniversaries together and most holidays and I can't count all the vacations we had together. They were part of our family and we were together thru good and bad times, including Carl's death 14 years ago. We will miss her immensely. She was such a good and caring person. I will miss seeing my favorite neighbor. We absolutely adored Sally and she was more like family then just a neighbor. We have had many laughs over the years and I will miss her tremendously. AJ, I and the kids are heartbroken and we send many hugs and love to the entire family during this very difficult time.
