A big tall man with a warm smile! That is how I will remember my Uncle George! Aunt Peggy and Uncle George always made a point to be there for our big days growing up. And than, as my girls came along they never missed a chance to have a summer visit. Peggy and the Altman family, I can not thank you enough for sharing this wonderful man with us! We are so fortunate to have had such a wonderful man in our lives!
Rest easy Big Guy! Thank you for being and Uncle to us, a dear friend to my mom and the love of my Aunt Peggy’s life! You will live on in our hearts forever!

Shortly after the loss of her beloved dog TISSEY, Peggy found herself so lonely that she said a prayer that she would find love again. Not long after her prayer was answered when she was introduced to a "Ramp Guy" named George Altman. AND SO IT BEGAN......
Peg and George shared a love that would grow to sustain them for the next 29 years until George was released from his earthly bonds to see the face of God and reunite with his parents, sister and Peggy's parents who loved him as a Son.
Although "Death leaves a heartache that no one can heal.
Love leaves a memory that no one can steal."
(Taken from an Irish Headstone)
I know that Peggy and the Altman family
have beautiful memories of their time with George to sustain them at this difficult time and in the years ahead.
GOD BLESS ALL OF YOU!
As for myself I would like to say that it has been a privilege to have had George as part of my life and that of my children as well as my grandchildren.
REST IN PEACE "BIG GUY".

My Uncle George - or “Big Guy” as I affectionately referred to him - made a positive impact on so many lives. I recall a time when I was just a little girl helping my mom sell items for CAUSE at the airport. George told me to grab my coat and come with him. Air Force One was on the tarmac and he took me out on the luggage truck to see it. When we returned, my mom asked me if I liked Air Force One to which I replied, “Yea, it was cool, but I REALLY liked the ride on the luggage truck!”

George will be sorely missed but never forgotten.

Loving Father

R Robin Gilinger on May 31, 2022

I worked with Peggy and George at PHL airport. I remember when Peggy connected with George and a romance bloomed. It’s never too late to fall in love.
Though George is physically gone, his love, care, and generous spirit will live with us forever.
