Uncle Shawn, I don’t think this will ever feel real to me. You were a big part of this family and everything will forever feel empty now. I will forever miss you so much and the humor you brought into the room. I wish so badly you had a lot more time here. You left this world way too soon to me, but to God, it was your time. I truly know that you are at peace and in the arms of God, grandmom, grand pop, aunt Cindy and uncle Michael. I love you so much and I will never stop missing you. Rest Peacefully, uncle Shawny Bub, until we meet again ❤️ Lee Lee

Shawn Family - Merli' - Avery - Lissette
A hard hit to our hearts ..
Shawn was a good man -
Tim D said it the best...
Going to miss pouring with you my friend -
Shawn would remember everyone's' drink - and kept his money neat and organized - always told him he must have had a "bad childhood" jokingly - -
Good manager - kept us focus on our parties and a clean bar for the next party - and a stocked bar - else - we would hear about in the Shawn way - .but somehow being Merion family - we got it...- and after all that was done - we would meet in the liquor room - do our business - and have laughs and drinks until sometimes wee in the morning - Casa de Bones - Casa De Pounds - Sinatra style...
Going to miss our scotch's - blondie cigars and lots of laughs.
As you would say - "stay gold brother"
Save me a spot at the heavenly bar - until we catch up again my friend
Saluti' - Joey Pounds

CandleMerlie, Avery, Lissette, I’m so sorry for your loss. To Shawn’s family, and relatives the same as well, my condolences. I hadn’t spoke to Shawn in a couple of months, but the the last time I did he told how well he and his family were doing. I was extremely proud of him. The day he had Avery I went to hospital to meet/greet the wonderful daughter Merlie and him had bought into this world. When he told me he helped Lissette get her license , I was dumbfounded. He did such a wonderful job as a father it impressed me. I met Shawn about 15/16 years ago at the Merion. Over the years he became an older brother figure to me, as well as a great friend. He was a honest person, and he would tell you that from the start. He had a very good judge of character on people, and for those he loved/liked he would do anything for. Didn’t matter what it was, he always there for you. He truly was a unique friend. I didn’t drive at the time Willy had gotten sick, but anytime he would go he would always pick me up and take me with him. I didn’t really need to ask. He just wanted to know if I could go. That’s how he was to people. If you didn’t have a shirt, he would give you his off his back. A remarkable person to be around. He literally could light up a room though. I really can’t count at all how many times he had me laughing so hard because he was a funny person haha. His jokes or ad-libs to a conversation would make you laugh hysterically. He had a gift for that, a gift to put a smile on a persons face. I was blessed to be able to meet a person like that in my life. We shared the same interests as well. I think sports made us become as friendly as we were. Went to multiple games together or watched them at the local pub when we could outside of work. He was just a pleasure to be around. I know he was a big flyers fan, but he loved the Eagles and baseball as well. He cherished visiting different stadiums watching games and enjoyed the trips he went on. I am happy he got to see the Eagles win a Super Bowl because we was ecstatic like I was when it happened. I have so many fond memories of Shawn I ll never forget. I know one of his was meeting Merlie and being able to call her, his wife. He always was a family oriented person. Those traits are hard to find in people. He personally helped me grow as person myself. Learning life lessons from him or even random chats about situations in life I have never forgot about to this day. I wasn’t even a big wrestling fan, but if he ordered a ppv I always came to his house to watch just to enjoy time with our friends. It was always a great time. After I left The Merion, we still kept in touch. Holidays, birthdays, talking sports. Just to check up on each other and see how life was going. It is very hard writing this because he was taken way to soon from his family and friends. I just feel blessed I had the honor to know a person who was one of a kind. I will always love you buddy, and always remember my Tebow nickname you gave me. To his loved ones, I share the same sentiment, and feel the same pain. He will always be with us.

Uncle Shawn- it is impossible to sum up everything you meant to me in a short paragraph. I still can’t believe we have had our last laugh. I have lived 30 years with your inappropriate jokes and most of the time unwelcome opinions- and I have no idea how I will continue to live without them. No holiday will ever be the same. No memory will ever be complete. A piece of my heart went with you. I take comfort in knowing you are not in heaven alone. Until we meet again- I love you so much and I will miss you every single day 💔
