Mamacita, you are and always will be my friend, my guiding light, and my earth Angel. Never in my wildest imagination would I have ever thought that the polio virus that rubbed us of our physical strength and normalcy was the catalyst of our great love and friendship. In you, like my other polio brothers and sisters, I found refuge... a place to go home to...a familiar feeling that unites our kindred spirits...a tribe of my own.
Mamacita, I will always love you, your family, and my polio members. And, lastly, your bridge is now and mine will be later, but I promise you, my dear friend, one fine day we will meet again on that bridge and resume our little chat. God Bless You!
Love you always, Mariano
