My brother and my best friend when we were young. He loved me and I loved him. We played and we learned together. He taught me compassion for those less fortunate and also to stand up for those less fortunate. I wouldn't be the person I am today without him!
I was one of Stephens caregivers for several years. He was such a delight to be with, always a smile. He was such a big part of the Blackwood family. Stephen and Eugene were such good friends and always looking out for each other. He will be sadly missed but always remembered with "Love".

When I think of Stephen, the first thing I think of is his laugh. Stephen had the ability to find humor in almost every situation we found ourselves in. Along with our buddy Eugene, Stephen and I laughed so many times over the years.
Stephen I miss you already. I'm so thankful God allowed you to be part of my life. I know you are well now and with Jesus. I take comfort in knowing one day we'll meet again. I love you brother. I carry sadness for my loss because I miss you. I rejoice with you because this is your graduation to heaven! Until we meet again, with love in my heart, I'll cherish the good times we shared.
