Mark J. Dempsey, Sr., on November 20, 2020, of Erial, formerly of Gloucester City. Age 65.
Beloved husband of Kathleen (nee Hunt) of 41 years. Devoted father of Mark J. Dempsey, Jr (Jamie) and Jamie V Pratt (Chuck). Dear grandfather of Brooke, Makayla, Chase, Cole, Vallen, and Tyler. Cherished brother of Alan (Vickie), Michael (the late Carol), Kevin (Marcie), Jean (Larry), and the late Joel. Dear son of the late Valerie and John Dempsey. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, and cousins.
Mark retired after 31 years from Camden County where he worked as a Journeyman Carpenter. He loved camping, collecting coins, and Led Zeppelin music. Mark loved spending time with family and friends. He loved Dunkin Donuts, so much that he sometimes went more than once a day.
There will be a visitation Saturday 2 to 4pm at GARDNER FUNERAL HOME, RUNNEMEDE. Memorial Service 4pm at the funeral home. Interment private.

My cousin Mark, I have many fond memories of his childhood pranks, exuberance, and big smile.
A brave man, loving and proud husband, dad, and grandpa; his family brought such joy to him. The stairway to heaven took him away. Mark, you will be missed and remembered in our hearts and prayers. My condolences to Kathy, Mark, Jamie, their families, and the Dempsey cousins
