Mom lived her life true to what she believed in, her strong faith and family values. She was the type of person we would all aspire to be like, loving and caring, always willing to listen and help when she could. Through all of her heartache and loss over the years, especially the loss of her loving husband Walter, she remained faithful and true to her Catholic faith and helped others by showing her strong side.
We truly enjoyed our family gatherings together as one family over the years, celebrating all of our joys and sorrows together. Mom was a great cook and baker, and will be especially remembered for her pizzelle making. She made sure everyone had them as their own special birthday "stash".
Mom was a true lover of the Philadelphia sports teams, her Phillies, "Iggles" and Sixers. She was a passionate fan, and often told stories of her times at Connie Mack Stadium in Philly. We were always cheering and giving high fives for her teams' successes, and grumbling and yelling at times at their failures. We are so grateful to have had these times with her, especially the Eagles winning of the Super Bowl. The thrill and joy she showed and felt at that time are priceless treasured memories that we will hold close to our hearts forever.
I know it was a wonderful reunion with her husband, son, and everyone else who has gone before her. May God bless you, Mom, and keep you safe in His loving arms with the Angels. Rest in peace, Mom.
