Herbert John Betz, Jr., also known world-wide as "Habu", on October 11, 2011, of Deptford, formerly of Bellmawr. Age 70.


Beloved partner and soulmate of Nancy McNally (nee Curry). Former husband of Rose Betz (nee Marquez). Devoted father of Herbert John Betz, III and Christopher Lawrence Betz (Monica). Loving grandpop of Isabella and Christopher G. Betz. Dear brother of Richard Lawrence Betz (Kathy) and the late Louise Loucks. Also survived by nieces and nephews.


Herb proudly served and retired from the U.S. Air Force. He was a lifetime member of the Elks Lodge #761 in Manila, Philippines and a lifetime member of the American Legion in the Philippines. Herb was an honorary Elder of the Shilluk Tribe of Southern Sudan.


There will be a viewing from 2 to 7pm Sunday, 4 to 9pm Monday and 9 to 11am Tuesday at GARDNER FUNERAL HOME, RUNNEMEDE.


Funeral Service 11am Tuesday at the funeral home.


Interment in Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
