Joseph Aloyious Nusbaumer, age 92, of Springfield, MO, passed away Monday, February 28, 2011, at The Maples Springfield, MO.


He was born April 20, 1918, in Oaklyn, NJ, to Joseph and Elizabeth (Johnson) Nusbaumer. He was a U.S. United States Marine Corps WWII veteran.


He was united in marriage to Mary Ella Stewart June 14, 1941. He loved to play golf. He was an artist working with stained glass, and oil paintings. He was a member of the Ozark Orchid Society, and a mason.


He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife of 59 years MaryElla.



He is survived by two sons: Joseph M. Nusbaumer and wife Lolith of Nixa, MO, and Thomas W. Nusbaumer and wife Tong of New York, NY; four grandchildren: Joseph M. Nusbaumer, Jr. and wife Terri of Kimberling City, MO, Andrew S. Nusbaumer of Nixa, MO, Nicholaus B. Nusbaumer of Nixa, MO, and Margel Nusbaumer of New York, NY; three great grandchildren: Andrew S. Nusbaumer,Jr., Kassandra and Natalie Nusbaumer; as well as other relatives and friends.


There will be a viewing from 6 to 8pm Friday eve and 9 to 10am Saturday morning at GARDNER FUNERAL HOME, RUNNEMEDE.


Funeral service 10am at the funeral home.


Burial will follow in the Baptist Cemetery, Haddonfield, NJ.
