John J. Hengy, on February 20, 2012, of Glendora, formerly of Phila. Age 81.


Beloved father of Edward Hengy (Bobbie), Diana Hengy Kehoe (Paul), William Hengy (Jeanette) and Joyce Hengy Hughes (John). Loving grandfather of Jennifer, Diana, Ryan, Tori, Emily, Matthew, Selena, Sarah and the late Andrew. Great-grandfather of Tyler and Luke. Dear brother of Edward Hengy (Shirley). Former husband of Joyce Hengy. Uncle of Jackie, Donna, Edward, Jr., Debbie and Michael.


Mr. Hengy was an Air Force veteran of the Korean Conflict and was a member of the Veteran's Commander Club. He was inducted into the Philadelphia Softball ASA Hall of Fame in October 1988.


Mr. Hengy was a driver for the Philadelphia Inquirer for 26 years.


There will be visitation from 9:30 to 10:30am Friday morning at GARDNER FUNERAL HOME, RUNNEMEDE, 126 S. Black Horse Pike, Runnemede, NJ.


Memorial Mass 11am at Holy Child Parish, St. Teresa's RC Church, Runnemede.


Interment private.
