Harry J. McMichael, Jr., on February 27, 2014, of Barrington. Age 85.


Loving husband of the late Claire Ann (nee McGovern). Devoted father of Harry (Carol), Joseph (Deborah), Kathy, Peggy, Steve (Judi) and the late Karen. Beloved grandfather of Kelly, Kevin, Stephen, Erin, Christopher, Olivia, Claire and the late Trevor. Dear brother of Elizabeth Weed, Ronald McMichael and the late Ave Maria Gaskill, Theodosia G. Schlauer and William McMichael. Also survived by sister-in-law Angie McMichael, many nieces and nephews and his best friend Chance.


Harry proudly served in the US Army during the occupation of WWII. He was an avid golfer and bowler up until age 80.


During his early years he was a boxer and coached all three of his sons for over 20 years in baseball in Barrington from T-shirts to Babe Ruth.


Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing from 5 to 7pm Sunday eve and 8:45 to 9:45am Tuesday morning at GARDNER FUNERAL HOME, RUNNEMEDE.


Funeral Mass 10:30am Tuesday at St. Rita of Cascia Parish, St. Francis de Sales RC Church, Barrington.


Interment New St. Mary's Cemetery, Bellmawr.
