Anna C. DeFiore (Nee Paglia) Age 93 of Bellmawr, joined Our Father in Heaven on Wednesday, October 12th. She passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Camden.


She was born to the late Alessandro and Maria (nee DiBiase) Paglia in Philadelphia, where she spent her childhood and early adult life. In 1957, she moved to Bellmawr, where she was a loving, life-long homemaker. She was an active volunteer at Mary, Mother of the Church, (now St. Rita of Cascia Parish) in Bellmawr and was also involved with the town's senior citizen activities.


Anna is predeceased in death by her loving husband of 62 years, Fred, along with six brothers and one sister. She is survived by three children: Leonard (Maryann) of Bethesda, MD, Thomas (Michelle) of Hammonton and Maria Frain (Michael) of Deptford. She will be deeply missed by her grandchildren: Denise, JoAnn (Erik), Fred, Thomas, Dianna, Katelyn and Moira and great grandchildren: Rainier, Kailasa and Christina.


Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Life Celebration on Sunday evening from 7 to 9pm and Monday morning from 8:15 to 9:15am at GARDNER FUNERAL HOME, BELLMAWR. Funeral Mass Monday morning 10am, St. Rita of Cascia Parish, Mary, Mother of the Church, Bellmawr. Interment New St. Mary's Cemetery, Bellmawr.


In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations may be made in Anna's memory to the St. John of God School, Attn: Memorials, 1145 Delsea Drive, Westville Grove, NJ 08093.
