James Flynn, on December 21, 2023, of Runnemede, formerly of South Philadelphia. Age 88.
Beloved husband of Dolores Flynn (nee Calabrese) for 64-years. Loving father of James Flynn Jr. (Denise), Dee Corrado (Joe), Margie Flynn (Robin Meyh), Kathy Schmidt (Bill), and Sean Flynn (Mary). Cherished Pop Pop of Garrett, Patrick, Ashley, Donavyn, Connor, Katarina, Kaleigh, Natalie, and Julia. Great grandfather of Colton and Ariella. Brother of the late Mickey (Mary Ellen) and Jack. Brother-in-law of Alice Flynn. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
James proudly served in the United States Army. He worked as an elevator mechanic for Local 5 IUEC. James was an avid golfer and skier. He was the former president and a coach for the Runnemede Girls Softball League. James was always a jokester and will be remembered for his one liners.
There will be a viewing from 8:15am until 10:15am on Friday, December 29 at GARDNER FUNERAL HOME, RUNNEMEDE. Funeral mass at Holy Child Parish - St. Maria Goretti at 11:00am. Interment at New St. Mary Cemetery.

As the Sun Rose this morning I thought of your passing in Prayer & your grieving family too. Shortly thereafter, just outside my window, I saw a beautiful bright red cardinal staring down directly from our tree…..
