Rita and John…I’ve been wanting to write something, but was having a hard time finding the right words. So many fond memories of John while growing up and spending so much time with the Natale’s. The service today was a beautiful tribute to him. And the priest was right…John was and still is a gift. He always had a smile and a great sense of humor! I will remember him always, but especially the bags of Tastykakes he would bring home, his pocket T-shirts, and all of his funny stories. Your pain is great because your love was deep. May time soften the edges. My favorite quote “The pain of parting is nothing to the joy of meeting again.” Charles Dickens
To my loving husband of 52 years and who was a caring and loving husband and father and my best friend! He was kind, gracious and special and never had a bad word to say about anyone. He always made me feel special. I will love you forever and you will remain in my heart until we meet again.
The feeling I have when I think of John is one to share, it’s a good one. A smile comes across my face with the memories of the funny and sometimes silly conversations we had sitting around the table on Friday pizza nights, or the Natale Christmas Eve feast of the seven fishes dinner, or in the car on our way to one of the many trips our families took together. My heart warms with memories of his kindness. John was so very kind, and always in a happy mood. In recent years, when our conversations were less frequent, I still heard the smile in his voice and it gave me comfort; life carries on but the good things stay with you. Rest in peace, John, you’ll always be with us.
In loving memory of my Dad, John Natale Sr. The greatest Dad in the world! He will always be with me.
