Paul P. Velez passed away on May 19, 2023. Age 78. Of Vero Beach, FL; formerly of Philadelphia and South Jersey. Loving father of Wendy Velez (Al Cataline), Richard Velez, Linda Velez Galietta (Marc Galietta), and Velisha Velez. Devoted Pop Pop of Danielle Elizabeth, Ashleah Marie, Isabella Marie, Kaya Rose, Nicole Elise, Kristin, and Camryn Rose. Great grandfather of Gabrielle, Nathan, Noah, and Skyla. Cherished brother of Efrain Velez, Elizabeth Velez, Almando Velez, and Maria Velez. Beloved uncle of Debbie Layne and Sylvia Velez. Great uncle of Will Diaz.

Before leaving Puerto Rico as a child, he loved swimming in the ocean on Luquillo Beach, which was his home. Paul was an altar boy during his childhood, he worked for about 10 years and retired from Drexel University as a machinist and advisor. He was a member of the Antique Corvette Club, and was an avid coin collector. He loved going to the beach, cars, gardening, taking care of his home, cooking and hosting gatherings for family and friends and fishing. Great love of music and salsa dancing and sports, especially baseball.

Services are private at the request of the family.
