John J. McGowan, "Jack", on December 30, 2022, of Bellmawr; formerly of Runnemede. Age 91.
Beloved husband of Josephine McGowan (nee Smith) for 61 years. Devoted father of Kathleen McGowan-Sluggett (Greg) and the late Eileen Cook and father-in-law of Sean Cook. Loving Grandpop of Kate and Will. Dear brother of the late Thomas McGowan and the late Harold McGowan. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Jack proudly served with the US Army during the Korean Conflict.
There will be a visitation from 8:45am to 9:45am Saturday, January 7, 2023 at St. Joachim Parish, Annunciation BVM Church, 601 W. Browning Road, Bellmawr, NJ 08031.
Funeral Mass 10am in the Church.
Interment private.

I am Greg’s brother from Windsor, ON Canada. Jack had made an impression on myself and my immediate family with his kind, gentle way on trips to the shore. He had also formed a solid friendship with my late parents thru their humour and love of a story. He will be missed and our thoughts are with Josephine, Kathleen, Kate, Will & my brother
I worked for Jack when I first started in the insurance industry. He was a wonderful man. My prayers are with his family.
Jack was such a wonderful person, always telling jokes and making you smile, God gave him a gift of laughter and love. He will be sadly missed by many friends & Family.
