Beach days are the best days

Karen Tobey on May 27, 2022

Momma,
I know you’re not reading this because you are dancing in the sky. I know you’re not feeling this because in heaven, there is no pain. I know you’re not forgetting anymore, because your memory is back on point. I know you are proud of how strong you taught me to be, you knew it was the only way I could survive. I know you will always be with me and no one can ever take that away. I know you suffered hard when Alzheimer’s stole so much from you. I know you took it like a champ and NEVER forgot how much you were loved. I know you are so proud of Wayne and I for never giving up. I know you saw how flawless we worked together because you taught us to be a team. I know I’m going to miss you more than all of the sand at the beach. I know that sadness is like the ocean. I know it comes in waves. But, I know how to keep on swimming, until my dying day.
I love you so much Momma.
Love Karen

Dear Mommom,

You were the most beautiful soul. Your smile, laugh, and silly faces never failed to make my day brighten. I’ll forever cherish those moments. I wish I could hear you call me your favorite nicknames of mine one last time. Whether it was playing at the beach, Christmas Eve, or just coming to visit, I would be smiling. As long as you were there, life was simple again. I know you and Poppy are looking down on us, probably making fun of us for crying. You were always a constant in life. It didn’t matter if I was upset or scared, got hurt or was angry, if I was in your arms it all disappeared. You leave behind a beautiful family who will miss you until the day we see you again. Rest easy, for the suffering is over. I love you, Mommom.

My Mommom

Dear Mom,
Even though I was an 8n law you took me in and treated me as your own. I have awesome memories of great family parties and vacations together. Our hearts are heavy but the sound of your laugh in our minds eases the sorrow. You'll be missed terribly. Smile on us daily. We love you.

Dear Creek Family,
I’m so sorry to read about your Moms passing. Your Dad Gary and I were classmates at Gloucester Catholic. He was a really good guy. I met your Mom to express condolences when Gary died. It touched me to see that your Mom has followed not so long after. I’ll pray for them and your family. From what I saw on your Dads memory boards at St. Joachim, you have many wonderful family memories of them both and the comfort of knowing that they are together.
