Francis J. Vennell, passed on February 11, 2022. Age 89. Of Brigantine formerly of Camden. Devoted husband of Joan (nee Norkus) for 70 years. Beloved father James (Diane), Debora Deffler, Nancy Pfizenmaier (Mark), and the late Paul (the late Donna). Loving grandfather of Jaclyn, Nicole, Chris, Jeanette, Kristine, Paul, Jaimie, Kevin, and Kurt. Great grandfather of Harper, Gabriel, Kelsey, Kaleigh, Lilly, Christopher, and Ryan. Adored brother of Lorraine and the late Dorothy, Thelma, Elsie, and Howard. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Francis was an electrical engineer for the New York Ship Yard and United Engineers. He loved his family, friends, and Country. He had a great sense of humor and style. He loved talking to people, dancing and singing. Golf and baseball were two of his passions, and loved all sports in general. We are saddened to hear of the passing of Mr. Vennell. He was a good man and loved his wife and family dearly. He was my sister’s father in law for 33 years and she was very fond of him and also Mrs. Vennell, her mother in law. We were so happy to see you at both of your grandchildren’s weddings and especially loved seeing Kristine dancing with her grand pop on her wedding day. I’ll never forget the twinkle in his bright blue eyes when he talked about his wife, Joan and his family. God rest his beautiful soul and our prayers are with each family member especially his wife and our niece, Kristine and our nephew, Paul.
Our thoughts and prayers to the entire Vennell family. I have fond memories of Uncle Fran from when we lived on Spruce Street in Westville. He was always a lot of fun, I remember one Haloween when he dressed up as a Nun, scared the hell out me since we went to catholic school.

Sorry to hear about Frances. He was a nice guy. I worked with him at UE&C in Philie. I remember how quick whitted he was.
Uncle Frannie you will be missed. Having you as my official inspector, you will be missed. Your sense of humor, love of dancing and your love of family made you who you were. To Aunt Joan and my cousins you have my sympathy. I know my Dad is glad to have his brother up with him now so he has some to “debate”.

I’m sorry for your lost. Frank was a co worker in the 70’s to the 90’’s . What a great person and very funny to work with. Frank will be missed by all who knew him.
