Elizabeth "Betty" Cannon (nee Sulimay), on February 20, 2021.

Born May 1, 1920, Betty was the oldest of Catherine and Anthony Sulimay's 16 children. She grew up in the Fairmount Section of Philadelphia and graduated from Hallahan High School. Elizabeth honorably served our country in the Army from 1943 to 1946. She married Edward "Buck" Cannon on September 25, 1948. Betty and Buck settled in Blackwood, NJ and were original members of St. Jude's Parish. Betty enjoyed traveling, going out to eat, and spending time with her family. Betty spent her final years as a resident of UMC Pitman where she was surrounded and cared for by the most loving staff. Betty is predeceased by her husband Buck.

She is survived by her daughter Denise and her son Buck (Toni), her 4 grandchildren Sam, Kate, Beverly, and Jeremy, 9 great grandchildren, 2 brothers, and 4 sisters.

A Memorial Mass will be scheduled at a future date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations may be made in Betty's memory to your favorite charity.

Betty was such a special person! She could always make me smile with her beautiful hats or the way she would say, "I love you hun!" I always looked forward to seeing her, and she will, sadly, be missed! I have faith that she is watching down on us from heaven and smiling! I feel blessed to have known Betty and her caring and thoughtful family! "I love you a bushel and a peck, a bushel and a peck and a hug around the neck!"

Denise,
Our thoughts and prayers are with you, your brother and all your family during this difficult time. May all the wonderful memories that you have if your mom bring a smile to your face, peace to your mind and love to your heart.
love, Paul and Noreen Waller

Betty was a very gracious lady . I remember visiting her with Denise. She would always pay a very sweet complement and make you feel very comfortable. She told great stories of her younger years. I really enjoyed listening to her recount those years. God bless her and welcome her
