So very sorry to hear of the abrupt & unexpected passing of John. He & Debbie were so very fortunate to find each other, after they both lost their first loves to cancer. We thoroughly enjoyed hosting them at our Florida home after their cruise, and seeing them again at Arlington Cemetery for a mutual friend. They both LOVED life & all the little joys gleaned from being together. John's smile & attitude will surely be missed. Condolences to his family & Debbie.

We were of the fortunate few, to have lost our first love and found a new one. Someone to help us enjoy the life we had remaining. I am truly blessed that God brought us together. We shared much happiness, waxing and painting the boat, daily fishing trips, Phillies games. We danced at weddings, supermarkets, the back deck or living room for no apparent reason. How you made me smile. I loved how you complimented my cooking or my boating skills. We thought we’d have many years together. Unfortunately, our time together was cut short. When you got sick, I told you I would not leave your side and always be there to support you. You’d smile and say “I love you” and I’d respond “I love you more”. I still do and miss you deeply. You will forever be in my heart. Debbie

Mr.Valenti was a great friend of mine, as well as a terrific friend of my late father, Bill. The memories of John and my dad fishing together will forever be instilled in my head. He was an amazing man who taught me so much about fishing, boating and life. He will be missed and my prayers are to the family; my sincere condolences for your loss.

John came into our lives through Deb Carey, who he considered his future forever companion. The three years that had together were filled with cruises, phillies and fun. John was such an open guy, sure of what he wanted, where he was going and who he was going with. The first time we met John my husband & I felt like we’d always known him. Genuine, open and confident we traipsed though any subject like old friends. Construction projects to fishing trips,he never lacked for intellect or interest. On one of his first outings after his bout with illness, John was more determined than ever to not waste a minute and lauded Deb for the care & love she gave. Future plans were in the making, bucket lists to be experienced. Our last dinner date with John & Deb saw a man on the mend, ready, willing and able to forge ahead with love and appreciation for all he saw on the horizon. We will miss you John, glad we got to know you. Love, Jerry & Jacqui Stauffer
