Growing up in Bellmawr with my Grandparents, I had the pleasure of knowing Joe for 19 years of my life. Summer nights consisted of talks on Kathy and Joe’s lawn chairs, about anything and everything. Joe was always there to ask how softball was going, or to give me pointers on my batting stance. He was a loving man, who could go on for hours about his grandchildren. He was selflessly devoted to the people who surrounded him, including my grandparents as well. He had a contagious laugh which always radiated to those around him. He was more than just my Grandparents’ neighbor, he was a friend to all, and an amazing man.
Joe, thank you for all the life advice, and even the laughs we shared over talks in your driveway. You are loved greatly, and missed deeply!
I just know you and my Pop are talking it up in Heaven as we speak. Rest Easy, Joe.

Joe and I 2016

M Mike McDevitt on Feb 8, 2021

Neighbors for 19years, friends for over 40 years. I feel we watched each other’s children grow up. Back yard barbeques graduations and weddings. Christmas Eves at our house, Watching New Years parades from St. Rita’s rectory. The fishing trip where Kara won the biggest fish pool and the countless cups of coffee around your kitchen table. Rest well my friend. Mike McDevitt

Joe was a genuine gentleman. He welcomed us to the neighborhood. Sitting with him many a times, Joe gave me such an education on our neighborhood. He allowed me to burn his ear anytime he was out. He treated my family like his own.
Even though our time with him was short lived, I feel like I knew him forever. I’m terribly heartbroken that he is gone. He is missed. My deepest heartfelt condolences and truest sorrows to you for your loss. I feel like we lost a great pop.
