Irene, you left before I said goodbye. You were always on my mind, so many things reminded me of you. Yet I did not take the time to call you, now I cannot. I am so sorry my dear friend, that I did not. I always loved you and your gentle heart, your laugh, and your sense of humor. I can not come to say goodbye to you in person. But I will say to you that when you come to mind now I will talk to you, not say tomorrow, now I will send you the fond memories of our friendship that I should have shared while you were still here on this earth. Your leaving has left a void that now cannot be covered over, an emptiness that can not be filled . You are as beautiful as you were years ago, even more so because of the love that filled your life. I am so sad that I missed all the love you had to give, my fiend. I will not say goodbye because I know I will be seeing you soon. In my heart as I always have, and also in Heaven. Love you girl.
Sending out my condolences to Bill and to his family. Giving you my love and prayers.
Bill and Tina(and entire family), your mother is such a beautiful woman and is watching over you! I know she and my mom are together having a party!(South Philly) style!! Never stop talking to her, forever in your heart! Xoxox Gina DiNoia and family xoxox
Being from the Midwest one of my favorite memory was Irene's east coast style! From her accent (which I can still hear very clearly) to her relaxed attitude.
Irene you will be missed for your thoughtfulness and kind heart, for welcoming people into your family and for taking care of those that need it.
To everyone Irene has left behind, I pray that as we are sad that our hearts are filled with love and kindness to all those that were a part of Irene's life.
Our childhood visits were too rare, but as a little girl I envied Irene's beautiful long hair and impeccable makeup. Being the only girl, she had her own room-which I remember captured the lingering fragrance of her perfume. Her love of tradition was exhibited when, upon one of our last visits, we had a grand reunion at her home. Irene produced the tiny table (what a lovely surprise! )at which the smallest of us sat many years prior during Aunt Dilly's fabulous meals-what memories that invoked! Her love for her family, both immediate and extended, was evident and will forever live on. Thank you Ireney for being you...
My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
Irine had a nice smile and we had great time together. She loved to plan cruise vacations.
You will be missed my dear sister in law
Rest In Peace
I have fond memories of visits with our “Jersey” relatives as a kid and all the fun we would have cramming all nine of us kids and our parents in that tiny house. I especially remember all the wonderful meals cooked by Aunt Dilly! That love of cooking passed to Irene and I remember enjoying those tasty meals on our too seldom visits. I was blessed to be gifted a lighthouse from her and I will be forever grateful. You are at peace now cousin.
My little sister was one of a kind, she was like her mother in many ways, she'd give you the shirt off her back. No matter how bad you were, she'd be waiting with open arms for your return.
She a kind, caring soul who loved her extended family and she will shine on in our lives forever like the lighthouses that she loved so much.
Our deepest sympathy to Lee and the family for the loss of such a wonderful person. Tom and I will always cherish our times with Lee and Irene at the concerts we attended at the casino. She will be dearly missed.
God Bless,
Tom and Ruth Durning
Our most sincere condolences to all of Irene’s family. She was truly a kind good person. Our love, thoughts, and prayers are with you. God Bless.
