I came across an index card with names of some people I had worked with from many years ago and Mike Hobb's name was on that card. I searched the internet and sadly found the obituary. My name is Jim Mount and I worked with Mike when we were in Horsham, Pa, I think the company at that time was called URIX. Mike was my immediate boss, I was in the Purchasing Department. He was a great guy, funny and very knowledgeable. My wife died in 1989 at the age of 40 and I had a 7 year old daughter, Mike was a great help in my getting through those difficult times. Of all the bosses I have had in life he was far and away the best. I would tell him I would see him tomorrow and he would say, "The good lord willing and the creek don't rise", he would also say, "I don't work where I play and I don't play where I work". When things became bad at work and there were rumors of layoffs he would say, " If I lose my job I will be flipping burgers at McDonalds. I know I am a better person today because I knew Mike, I am so sorry I never reached out to him after he left URIX. My sincere condolences to all in the family. Mike and I used to talk on the phone every week and solve world problems. Mike always invited me over for Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's. I really appreciated that. I will miss him.
Picture of Mike from 2014.
Mary Jo and I will miss you. I always enjoyed talking to you on your porch. We spoke about cars and family. I'll miss looking over and seeing you sitting there on the bench. The Booth Family
