Dear Marlene, Bridget and Maureen's Family: I am so sorry of hear of your loss. I knew Maureen through Oasis. At first I only saw her once a year at their open house. It was seeing her every year that brought me to volunteer at Oasis and then I saw her once a week for a couple of years. She was a warm, friendly, giving person and I always enjoyed our weekly conversations. She helped so many people in her lifetime. Maureen will truly be missed by those with two legs and four legs. I love you Maureen. Karen Rotan
This is very sad news and I'm with a heavy heart as I type this. Maureen was fun, funny, warm, giving, quick to make light and would say not to be sad. I only knew her for a short time, but she made an impression on me for sure. To Always Look at the Bright Side of Life.
Uggghh Maureen where to begin! So many memories over the past years of doing your hair. You were such a character lol there was never a dull moment each visit. So many laughs and truly unforgettable moments with you that I will cherish for ever. Oh my Diva Maureen 😪 I will carry you forever in my heart ❤ I will donate to Oasis animal shelter in memory of you my luv, may we meet again 😪
I only knew Maureen for the last five years but she was one of the funniest most feisty and honest people I've ever met. My wife and I will truly miss her and remember her fondly.
I miss you already. I met her thru my sister Pam & at the Oasis Animal Sanctuary & have seen her wonderful beautiful face for over 19 years. Got lots of hugs & kisses. I will regret not being able to spend time with you because of the times right now. Hugs & kisses to you & your family. love always, Deb Dewyea
I just adored Maureen. I am so sad to hear about this, and so sorry for Marlene and her children. When I was in need, I could always count on Maureen. When my sister was very sick and dying, I called Maureen over to help her use a commode. I will never forget Maureen's generous spirit and her love of animals. I will miss her very much.
I will miss Maureen very much. I'm already missing our calls and joking. My heart is breaking for my sister Marlene😢😢. I know what she's going through. If I could take your pain and her kids pain away, I would do it in a heartbeat! All of you are in my prayers and thoughts. I'm sorry for your loss.
I would like to add my deepest sympathies to Marlene. I have known her just as long as Maureen. They both treated me with love and open arms. Two tough cookies that together could overcome anything. I have admired their strength and love ❤️ my entire life. Always taking care of each other. I hope happy memories together will overcome this difficult time. Thinking of you Marlene . Lots of love to you! Xxx
I don’t know where to start with Maureen. Bridget and I became friends in first grade. From that day forward she became my sister and Maureen my second mother. The other day I was thinking about when Bridget and I were 15 y/o and we went to Chincateague Island with her mom and Marlene. And how much fun we had even with ran out of off bug spray and we got bitten up like crazy from the horse flies. I will cherish Maureen as she has always welcome me with open loving arms. She referred to me as her as her other daughter. She gave me the best gift ever, Bridget who is my best friend and sister. I will cherish her smile and memory for eternity. I am teary eyed writing this but I know Maureen would want all of us to be happy. She always knew how to look at the brighter side. She’s our angel 😇 in heaven looking over us with her beautiful smile. Love ❤️ you Maureen aka my other mother.
Marlene and Family...so very sorry to hear of Maureen's passing..such a nice lady and friend of my sister in

Maureen was not only beautiful on the outside, but she was also a beautiful soul. She saw the beauty in others. She took her time, forming her own thoughts and opinions about the people and things around her. She was outspoken; never bullied or cowed. Always a truth-teller, she was kind with her words, never with meanness or malice and always generous with her grace. Merciful in everything because she was always true to herself. Words cannot describe how much she will be missed.
I am grateful that her presence has blessed our lives. We are all better people today because SHE was part of it, a part of our family. I know there is something that she found to love in every one of us.
We must remind ourselves that when we look for her, we can look to the stars at night and we can look into the eyes and hearts of family and friends and find a little piece of her. In that sense she will live on forever.
