Robert J. Whitaker, on September 18, 2020, of Blackwood, formerly of Philadelphia. Age 87.
Beloved husband of Kathleen (nee Amoroso). Devoted father of Catherine Sims (William). Loving grandfather of Catherine(Domenic), Nicole and Jessica, great grandfather of Mark, Gianna, Tyler, Domenic, Emma and Samantha and great great grandfather of Luca.
Mr. Whitaker served in the U.S. Army and U.S. Marine Corps. He was a member of Stetser Lamartine American Legion Post 281. He loved music, going to the theater and spending time in Florida. He especially loved spending time with his family.
There will be a visitation from 10:45 to 11:45am Tuesday morning at Our Lady of Hope Parish, St. Agnes RC Church, Coles & Little Gloucester Rds., Blackwood.
Memorial Mass 12 noon at the Church.
Interment private.
Family requests in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Mr. Whitaker's memory to Stetser Lamartine American Legion Post 281, 2101 Chews Landing Rd., Blackwood, NJ 08012.
