Virginia F. "Ginny" McKernan (nee Brus), on August 15, 2020, of North Myrtle Beach, SC, formerly of Williamstown. Age 84.

Beloved mother of Ginny Cooper (James Van), Lisa Grizzle (Jim) and Patricia McKernan (Chris D'Alessandro). Dear grandmother of Pete and Jonathan Ireland and Noble and Ian Graham. Great grandmother of Morgan Ireland. Step grandmother of Heather Grizzle Day and John Grizzle.

Ginny grew up in Runnemede, NJ and was a 1953 graduate of Audubon High School where she was voted "Best Dancer". Ginny served as the Office Services Manager at Archer & Greiner Attorneys at Law for 25 years, retiring in 2003. She was a parishioner at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church in Somerdale for more than 20 years and was active for many years in its Altar and Rosary Society. Ginny was a fiercely devoted Philadelphia Eagles fan. She was also a big fan of TV game shows; while living in North Myrtle Beach, she was excited to meet Vanna White of Wheel of Fortune who was visiting her hometown. She cherished her many friendships with her former co-workers and neighbors who remain dear to Ginny's daughters.

Some people are honored long
after they leave us. Ginny is one of those special people. And she is missed.
I had the blessing of knowing her, as my daughter-in-law's Mom . My son's Mother-in-law.
Ginny, being an awesome Mom raised three of the most brilliant, capable, caring women I know, while she worked full time in a demanding career. That is huge. That says alot about a person. I found her to be a woman of character, smart with a great sense of humor who loved her family and was always a source of strength to them.
What a beautiful legacy she has left. I appreciate every holiday I shared with her and I miss her.
I wanted to be there with everyone for her send off but bad weather up North prevented me from making it. Even so my heart was there and I will always have fond memories of the holidays I was so blessed to share with her..

I greatly appreciated the opportunity to work with Ginny in my office. She was very sweet and had a good sense of humor. I greatly appreciated my Christmas card and when she stopped by to say "hello" and we talked in the parking lot for a few moments. I will always remember that she said she didn't remember any of her other doctors except for me. It is humbling to have the opportunity to watch people come and go and to be a part of their life for a brief time but I still think of them often and I will always remember Ginny very fondly. My condolences to the family and loved ones with encouragement to cherish the fond memories and cling tightly to each other. Dr. Renfrow

Years before Ginny died I introduced her to my hairdresser, Mary, from Clippers in Deptford. She continued to go to Mary until she moved to SC. Many times after her retirement we would meet there coincidentally and catch up. Ginny was always a cheerful person even though she endured much pain. Her laugh was a Joy to all within hearing distance. There was no mistaking it was Ginny’s signature laugh. We worked together many years at A&G. It’s quite a tribute to her when I have only happy memories of her. Ginny was a “get it done” kind of leader in her field. Was never the same without her. Sorry I can’t be with you today but please know Ginny was very dear to my heart and will forever be a beautiful memory to me. Sincerely, Molly Wyckoff

My condolences to the McKernan girls...Mrs. McKernan was a wonderful person and neighbor, and a very special friend to my mom. Those days on Hollyoke Road are some of my sweetest memories and your mom was a big part of those great times. May she rest in peace....Anthony Forchione

Ginny was my next door neighbor in Sunny Estates here in Williamstown. I always enjoyed our conversations sitting on the porch . She was the funniest and used to tell the best stories. My husband was sick at the time and was so kind to me during that time. I still miss her living next door to me til this day. Ginny you are missed so much may you RIP....Give my Love to Joe when you see him in Heaven because I’m sure that’s where you are.
