Daniel C. Gallagher, on May 7, 2020, of Deptford; formerly of Pennsauken. Born and raised in Philadelphia, PA. Age 88.

Beloved husband of the late Agnes E. Gallagher (nee Barnum). Devoted father of Daniel W. Gallagher (Clara), Agnes Gallagher, Michelle Cabrera (Ruben), Mary Loomis (Tom), and Theresa Magin (Frank). Loving Pop of Michelle, Melissa, Maria, Dan, Mandy, Diane, Tommy, Anthony, Ryan, Rachel, and the late James and John and great grandpop of Jake, Josh, Julian, James, Katie, Brandon, Sean, Christian, Teagan, Sophia, Evie, Aurora, Matilda, and the late Logan. Dear cousin of Joanne Byrne and beloved uncle of John Barnum. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Dan was an avid Philadelphia sports fan. He was actually in the stadium at Franklin Field in 1960 when the Eagles won the NFL championship game and he was surrounded by his family as the Eagles won Super Bowl LII in 2018. Dan spent most of his life working in the printing industry and that is where he met the love of his life, Agnes. They married in 1952. They loved traveling together to many places and vacationing with family. He loved Frank Sinatra music and always said how he shared the same birth date (but not the same year) as Frank Sinatra. After retirement, he enjoyed working as a handyman at St. Patrick's Elementary School in Woodbury, NJ. He loved the Jersey shore and was still body surfing at the age of 80!

Due to restrictions put forth by the State of New Jersey, services will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Daniel's memory to Paul's Run, 9896 Bustleton Avenue, Philadelphia, PA 19115.

To the Gallagher Family, I send my deepest condolences! It was my pleasure to take care if Dan at Pauls Run. He was such a amazing loving man, I grew very fond of him. We use to play rummy 500 just about everyday and he enjoyed that so much! He use to say I cheat(haha) until one day he had a card stuck in his wheel chair and the next day I went to work he told me about it and said the wind must of blew it in the chair so after that I always said he was the cheater(haha) it was a ace of hearts at that! Those baby blue eyes and that smile I couldn’t help but to love him! He brightened my day and I know I made a difference in his life at Pauls Run he made sure he told me everyday. I will go to his room every day before I lie ave work and give him a hug and a kiss and he said I love you Cyn and I said I love you too! His favorite thing to say when I will leave is arrivederci! I have so many good memories of him and I will forever carry them in my heart! I love him so much! He iis missed dearly! To the family my prayers are with you!
