William J. "Darby" Speese, on March 27, 2011 of Sewell, formerly of Hilltop and Glendora. Age 84.


Beloved husband of Stephanie (nee Olszewska) for 65 years. Devoted father of Mame Anderson (Brian) and Stephaine Loomis (Donald). Loving grandfather of Melissa Wilcox (Mikey), Molly DiBernardino (James), Maggie Whittier (Ryan), Derek and Adam Loomis. Dear great grandfather of Stella Sowers, Wesley and Nolan Wilcox, Neil and Alice Whittier. Step grandfather of Sydney DiBernardino. Dear brother of Dorothy Lordt. Also survived by several nieces and nephews.


Mr. Speese was a proud Navy Veteran serving during WWII. He formerly worked for the PSFS Bank in Philadelphia. Mr. Speese was a member of the Hiderlane Senior Club and the Always Young Club.


Relatives and friends are invited to attend the viewing Thursday from 10 to 12 noon at GARDNER FUNERAL HOME, RUNNEMEDE. Funeral Service Thursday 12 noon. Interment St. Joseph's Cemetery, Chews Landing.
