Ethel Ratchup (nee Clements), of Duluth, GA, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 24, 2011. At her bedside were her son and daughter-in-law. She had recently celebrated her 89th birthday on October 28, 2011. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Joseph J. Ratchup. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Dennis and Marie Ratchup of Norcross, GA and her lifelong friends, Dot and Larry Lutz of Sicklerville, NJ and their family.


Ethel was a resident of Glendora, NJ for 57 years until her retirement. She retired to Palm Harbor, FL in 1983 where she lived for 27 years until moving to Dunwoody, GA in 2010. Mrs. Ratchup was a past member of the Glendora Elementary PTA, the Blackwood Lions Ladies Auxiliary and the Chews United Methodist Church. She worked for the Gloucester Township Board of Education for 27 years as a secretary at Chews Landing Elementary School School.


A morning viewing will be held at GARDNER FUNERAL HOME, RUNNEMEDE on Tuesday, November 29th from 9:45 to 10:45am followed immediately by a graveside service at Chews United Methodist Church Cemetery, Glendora.
