Elisa Cooper (nee Benigno) Broski, of Columbus, NJ, a career New York City advertising executive who since 2007 had been the Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) of Corbett Accel Healthcare, died on October 16, 2010, after a short, courageous, battle with pancreatic-obiliary cancer. She was 52 years old.

Ms. Broski was a well-respected figure in the healthcare advertising industry for thirty years. Prior to her position at Corbett Accel, she held senior vice president positions in the New York offices of Klemtner Advertising (Saatchi & Saatchi); Ferguson 2000 (Commonwealth); Thomas Ferguson Associates; Rolf, Werner, Rosenthal, Inc.; Bruce Leeb & Co.; and Gerbig, Snell, Weisheimer (inChord Communications.)

The beginning years of Ms. Broski's career were spent as a Creative Director, helping to launch new medical products and pharmaceuticals. She was responsible for the pitches and branding personalities associated with products of the country's major pharmaceutical companies. Possessing an eye for detail and the dedication to work long hours, she was able to win new business pitches in succession with amazing results. Her reputation made her an icon in the industry and, for a young account executive, there was prestige if selected as a member of her team. Later in her career, Elisa became a mentor to young employees who shared her love of advertising and the desire to succeed. Professionally, she was a member of the American Center for Design and the Healthcare Businesswomen Association. A native of Union, N.J., Ms. Broski earned a BA in Visual Communications and Art Education from Kean College of New Jersey.

Scott Cotherman, President of Corbett Accel Healthcare (CAHG), described Ms. Broski as a 30-year veteran of the healthcare communications industry, having progressed as a senior executive through many of the highest ranked healthcare advertising agencies in the Northeast. Most recently, she was the EVP, Chief Marketing Officer for CAHG, one of the world's largest health professional communications agencies. At CAHG, Elisa had the responsibility for helping to grow the business by coordinating marketing initiatives and directing new business strategy and new client acquisition activities.

Vince Parry, President of YBrand in New York, remembered that Elisa served at inVentiv Health as the founding New York Creative Director for their flagship healthcare advertising agency, GSW. Her leadership and new business development acumen led to the launch of the New York office in 2003, and helped it grow to its current size of $15 million.

Her class and style drew the attention and admiration of everybody she met, so much so friends jokingly nicknamed her "Jackie O." She enjoyed entertaining, was a trusting best friend and generous to all. Ms. Broski belonged to two gourmet cooking groups, was active in the American Wine Society, and enjoyed spending time at the Jersey shore and travels to Italy.

Elisa is survived by her husband, Joseph, formerly of Runnemede; her mother, Mary Benigno (nee: Napoli); an aunt, Santina Napoli; a brother Anthony Benigno and sister Anita Kackle; several nieces and nephews. She is also survived by dear friends Pearl Weinstock, Dr. Richard Nadler and his wife Elizabeth. Elisa was preceded in death by her father, Anthony.
