Irene A. (nee Heuschkel) Gallagher, on March 13, 2011, of Blackwood. Age 86.


Beloved wife of the late James Gallagher. Devoted mother of Jean Gallagher (Adam Goldman), Carol Fritz (Sean Driscoll) and James Gallagher (Teri). Loving grandmother of Megan Michele Fritz and Lauren and Lisa Gallagher. Dear sister of Lillian O'Leary and the late Alfred Heuschkel and Raymond Heuschkel. Dear sister-in-law of Claire Austin and Mary Harker.


Irene worked at Owens-Illinois in Glassboro for 25 years where she met her husband Jim. She loved her family dearly and took great pleasure and pride in her three granddaughters, her home and her garden. Irene thoroughly enjoyed the family pets, her backyard wildlife and was a big fan of professional tennis and the Phillies.


Friends and family are welcome from 11am to 1pm Wednesday at GARDNER FUNERAL HOME, RUNNEMEDE, 126 S. Black Horse Pike, Runnemede.


Funeral Service 1pm at the funeral home.


Interment Hillcrest Memorial Park Cemetery, Hurffville.
