Dorothy (Grammie) Solliday Johnston, on February 18, 2011 at Cooper University Hospital, quietly and peacefully with her two proud and loving sons at her bedside.

She is now at peace with her loving husband William Richard (Dick) Johnston. She was born in North Wales, March 18, 1926 to Uriah Strause and Elizabeth Denner Solliday. She graduated from North Wales High School and resided in Sellersville, PA. In 1945 she met William Johnston at a USO dance, and upon his return from service in Guam during WWII, they were married on July 5, 1946 and resided in Tampa, Fla., Woodbury and finally settling in West Collingswood where she was a resident for 49 years. She is remembered by her family as a charitable and loving person, always finding it in her heart to assist those in need. Her constant chatter and love of food were legendary and a welcome trait at gatherings of friends and family. She was fiercely independent, and never hesitated to speak her mind. She was a life long collector of glass clowns.

Loving grammie of Christopher Trevor, Timothy (Allyson), Kevin (Donna), Andrew, and Ashley. Great-grandmom of Trevor and Ryan. Step-grandmother of Maxwell Cole and Tyler James Calkin.
