Julia Marie "Julie" (nee Gammello) Gianvito. On December 13, 2011, at 94 years young, Julia was welcomed into Eternal Life by the Lord.

One of 9 children, Julia was born and raised in Oil City, PA. She met her husband, John, in the spring of 1939 and they were married in Punxsutawney, PA, in September 1940. After 62 years of marriage, John went home to be with the Lord on December 17, 2002.

Julie's joys in life were her husband, children, granddaughters and great grandson. She loved singing, housekeeping, gardening, family vacations, butterflies and making new friends! Wherever she went, she could be found conversing with "total strangers" exchanging addresses and phone numbers with them. Julie took pleasure in visiting nursing homes where she sang to the residents. When she was no longer able to get to Church, she faithfully watched Mass on TV and read from her Bible every day. She also prayed the Rosary and Divine Mercy Chaplet daily for the needs of her family, the "Nation of Israel, the Youth of the World and the Holy Souls." She felt her mission in life was "prayer" and enjoyed praying over the phone with her closest friends.

Julie kept herself politically current and voiced strong opinions on legislators who did not, in her eyes, follow God's ways. She treasured her home of twelve years at Avignon and all the new friends she made there. She was made a member of St. Peter's Altar & Rosary Society, PTA and Charismatic Prayer Community.

Julie is survived by her daughter, Mary Ann Richards (husband, Sam); two sons, John and Keith; granddaughters, Julie Davis (husband, Ed) and Sharon Richards; great-grandson, Kyle Davis; sister, Rose Frank; sisters-in-law, Angie Intenzo, Theresa Wilson, Violet Morse, brother-in-law, Gene Hall and numerous nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are invited to gather at Gardner Funeral Home, Runnemede, NJ from 8 to 10am on Saturday, December 17. A Funeral Mass will follow at St. Peter's Church, Merchantville at 11am with burial at Calvary Cemetery in Cherry Hill.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Julie's memory may be made to the Daughters of Our Lady of the Sacred Heart, 424 E. Browning Road, Bellmawr, NJ 08031 or St. Peter's Church, Merchantville. Family and friends may share memories at www.GardnerFuneralHome.com.
