A recap of our 2020 Halloween- A Runnemede Tradition

2020 has been a year of hardship, grief, loss, and confusion. Many rituals and traditions were modified, rearranged, and postponed. It was our hope that continuing our annual tradition of giving out candy apples this year would provide the community with a sense of normalcy and comfort.

We are thankful to our community who not only came out to Trick or Treat but also donated non-perishable items to Preston & Steve’s Camp Out for Hunger Food Drive. The food drive helps support Philabundance’s mission of ending hunger in our communities. We will continue to collect items at our Runnemede location until November 16, 2020.

The best part of our day is to hear your stories, share in the memories, and honor the family traditions. Here are a few of our favorites:

It’s not Halloween unless you stop at Gardner’s for a candy apple!

The best part of Halloween!

I’ve been coming here since I was a kid!

A must stop every year!

Thank you for continuing this tradition!

Thank you for all of the love and support,

The Staff at Gardner Funeral Home
