James L. Whitfield on March 7, 2012 of Mt. Ephraim, NJ. Age 87. Beloved husband of the late Mary K. Devoted father of Pat Domanski, James (Mary Ann), Richard (Pat), Darlene Barr (the late Ed Barr), Stephen and Michael Whitfield and Marianne Linka (Fred). Dear grandfather of 19 and great grandfather of 15. Mr. Whitfield was a volunteer for the Red Cross, the American Cancer Society, the Cathedral Kitchen and the Meals on Wheels Program. He was a proud veteran having served in the Navy during WWII. Relatives and friends are invited to attend viewing Sunday evening from 6 to 8pm and Monday morning from 9 to 10am at GARDNER FUNERAL HOME, RUNNEMEDE. Funeral Mass Monday 10:30am at Emmaus Catholic Community, Sacred Heart RC Church, Mt. Ephraim. Interment New St. Mary’s Cemetery, Bellmawr. In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in Mr. Whitfield’s memory to the Red Cross Camden County Chapter, 5425 Route 70 West, Pennsauken, NJ 08109, American Cancer Society, 1851 Old Cuthbert Road, Cherry Hill, NJ 08034 or to the Salvation Army - Camden County Meals on Wheels Program, 915 Haddon Avenue, Camden, NJ 08103.
